Auguries

From the day I came home from hospital, I began to document my experience through journaling, painting and photography.

Six years later I finally achieved enough emotional distance, the ability to use the documentation to create a body of work that records my emotions as I moved from diagnosis through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

The completed body of work will comprise painting, digital art,  some wall-based installations and include writings from my journal, upon which much of the work is based.

In March 2008 I embarked on a journey for which I was totally unprepared.  I had been diagnosed with an advanced uterine cancer that has a low incidence of survival.
